B100′s Basics for Babies 2011

The 2011 event was another incredible succes with over $26,000 was collected that morning along with $7500 worth of baby food & hygeine items.The success is due the numerous Community donors and partners who donate money, product and of themselves.

The money raised at the event will help ensure the most innocent clients at the Food Bank have formula, diapers, jarred foods and cereal year round.

We are happy to announce the opening of the “Baby Bank” in August 2011. The “Baby Bank” provides monthly access to the extra items like wipes, wash, lotion, diaper cream, bottles, soothers, new & gently used clothing for babies newborn to 2 years of age.

B100′s Basics for Babies 2012

The 2012 event is set for Friday, November 23 at Hotel 540. Admission is $20. Gratefully accepting donations of formula, jarred baby food, cereal, diapers and baby hygeine items.

B100 has been a supportive partner of the Food Bank for many years. Since 2006, B-100 has given the Food Bank a platform to bring awareness to our most innocent clients. The funds generated at the breakfast are used to ensure that we have formula, diapers, baby food and cereal year round.
98.3 CIFM is the sister station to B100 and supports the event through commercials, announcer promotions and live interviews.
Kamloops Daily News has been a partner with B100's Basics for Babies since 2006. The ads that they run help bring awareness to the event. In 2009, The Daily News took over running the Drive thru that is outside the event for those who want to donate, but can't make it inside for breakfast.
Canadian Tire has been a supporter of B100's Basics for Babies since 2006. Each year a generous donation is made to support the program. Canadian Tire believes in giving children a chance to excel and we are fortunate to have their support.
Menzies Graphics GroupMenzies has been the printing partner of the event since 2008. They donate their services and time to create posters, tickets, table sponsor cards and donor boards for the event.
Duffy's Pub named the Food Bank it's charity of choice in 2009 and use their donation dollars to support the organization. Duffy's Put has been a generous contributor to B100's Basics for Babies as well as supporting the Food Bank hehind the scenes.
Wal-Mart has been a strong supporter of our Thrift Store and our Basics for Babies program. We also purchase all of our diapers, formula and baby cereal from Wal-Mart. We receive a generous discount on these items which is used to purchase more items for our clients under the age of 2.
Doug and Carol Cook and the employees at the Mount Paul Fountain Tire believe that giving back to their community is a responsibility that every business should take seriously. B100's Basics for Babies has become one of their favorite events. We truly appreciate their generous support.
iCompassiCompass came on board as a donor in 2010. Not only did they donate funds, but they donated time to the event.
CIBC Wood GrundyBrian Kiloh at CIBC Wood Gundy supports the event each year with money generated through Miracle Day which is run internationally to promote investors to donate their commissions to charity.
The Daybreak club has been a longtime supporter of the Food Bank and the B100's Basics for Babies. Daybreak donates the space as well as covers the cost of the breakfast.
Our local television station has always been a great supporter of the event, running endless commercials to promote Basics for Babies and generate awareness. In 2009, Midday went live from the breakfast with a special broadcast promoting the event.
Colleen Pastoor EventsColleen Pastoor donated her time and decorations from her business to make the 2010 event the most appealing yet. Colleen's professionalism and eye for detail was a great asset to the event.
Hotel 540 became the new home of Basics for Babies in 2011. With their dowtown location, dedicated staff and incredible breakfast, we look forward to many years of holding the breakfast at their location. www.hotel540.ca
Canadian LinenCanadian Linen is an important part of the breakfast. With their generous donation of linens each year, the room looks absolutely wonderful. Thank you as well for the donation of their truck to accept and transport all of the donations collected that morning
Lake City Casino became a partner of Basics for Babies in 2011 generously donating the use of their parking lot for the morning. Free parking is a great addition to the day.
Milk & Honey Photography became a supporter of the event in 2011. Lisa Digeso provides us with the wonderful baby image used on all of our advertising.
Pink With Envy has been a supporting business of Basics for Babies since 2009. We appreciate their financial support as well as their donations to our grab bags.
