Core food-support services refer to the provision of essential food items to clients in need, including perishable and non-perishable food items, without any financial cost or additional requirements such as volunteer participation, donation obligations, or engagement in faithbased activities.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the Kamloops Food Bank provides core food-support services to clients, without additional costs or conditions, and to establish guidelines for overseeing, maintaining, and making publicly available the policies and procedures related to these services.
This policy applies to all staff members, volunteers, clients, donors, and stakeholders of the Kamloops Food Bank.
This policy shall be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Any revisions to the policy shall be approved by the President & CEO or designated authority.
This policy shall be communicated to all staff members, volunteers, clients, donors, and stakeholders through staff meetings, orientation sessions, and the organization’s website.
By implementing this policy, the Kamloops Food Bank reaffirms its commitment to providing core food-support services to clients in need without any financial cost or additional conditions.
This policy has been reviewed and approved by the Kamloops Food Bank’s Board of Directors on July 23, 2024.
